Artist and Facilitator
The NHS Gallery - Narratives of Care- Past, Present, Future.
The aim of this project was to make an artwork that would be photographed to adorn the halls of St. Woolos Hospital to liven up the space for visitors and patients. A Workshop was held to gather the voices of the people who visit the hospital and use this research and stories for the art. The Project was named 'Narratives of Care- Past, Present, Future' which was the common theme for the stories told.
The brief was to make a piece of art, photograph it, edit and frame it professionally to be presented at an event held at the hospital. I created the work by building a model of a hospital room and corridor, using wooden lolly sticks, foamboard, cotton, filler and white paint.
This artwork was made to represent the individuals who stay at the hospital, their backgrounds and stories, and were represented through famous classical artworks.
